Recognise and pamper

When the qualities of Pitta – hot, oily, pungent, colourful, smelly, bright and mobile – are intensified by, for example, too spicy, acidic, salty or too hot food, coffee, alcohol, constant work stress, work struggle, overexertion, too much heat and sun exposure or in the Pitta intensifying times such as summer, midday, midnight and midlife, Pitta gets out of balance and can show the following symptoms, among others: heartburn, an upset stomach, cravings and addictions, feelings of heat, reddening of the skin, eczema, allergies, inflammation, liver and blood disorders, hostility and anger.

To harmonise Pitta, it is helpful to observe Ayurvedic measures in your diet, personal hygiene and daily routine.

Nutrition:
basic principles for meals with increased Pitta

Pitta spice blend:
Coriander seeds – decongests, soothes the intestines, helps digestion without stimulating agni
Cardamom – good for heartburn
Cumin – relieves cramps
Clove – stimulates digestion
Orange peel – fresh and cool
Sage – good for inflammation

Pitta herbal tea:
rose, lemon balm, cornflower, lemongrass, raspberry leaves, blueberry; can be sweetened with pear syrup to support the liver

Pitta skin care:
Soothing facial toner: lime blossom and myrtle regulate the skin’s moisture, lavender and palmarosa harmonise and soothe irritation, ylang-ylang provides a sensual fragrance, witch hazel refines the pores and clarifies the complexion. To keep sensitive Pitta skin in balance, it needs particularly well-balanced and non-irritating substances. If you are prone to acne and irritation, the selected ingredients have a mild anti-inflammatory effect without drying out the skin or over-stimulating the circulation.
Pitta face cream: is particularly gentle and calming with soothing and anti-inflammatory active ingredients (including camellia and black cumin oil, aloe vera gel, turmeric, healing earth, yarrow, rose)

Pitta massage oil:
For the daily massage according to Ayurveda, warm the massage oil for Pitta only slightly in a water bath. Its ingredients (coconut oil cools, olive oil soothes, calendula oil relieves inflammation, sandalwood, geranium, neroli and cypress soothe the skin and nervous system) are well suited for this purpose.

Pitta bath oil with eucalyptus is good for blemished skin, fever and inflammation.

Pitta fragrance oil blend with the essential oils: sandalwood, cypress, orange, geranium and marjoram for the fragrance lamp and for mixing the adequate massage oil or bath oil according to your needs on the go.

Pitta needs coolness and composure, its excessive ambition needs moderation, anger and rage cool down in love and understanding.
